Overview


The Digital Recruitment Officer will play a crucial role in the creation, development, and execution of digital content that attracts and engages prospective students to drive applications. This includes overseeing video production, leveraging various digital platforms, and coordinating content for recruitment-driven events.

The role requires a creative and technically savvy individual who can produce impactful content that aligns with brand messaging, supports recruitment efforts, and meets institutional business objectives. Additionally, the officer will be responsible for analyzing digital performance, managing data, and providing insights to continually improve content strategies.

Responsibilities


  • Source and secure both existing and proposed content for digital events
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead the execution of all digital events hosted by Recruitment & Admissions (undergraduate domestic)
  • Oversee pre-event testing and mock tests for all digitally delivered events to ensure seamless execution.
  • Prepare post-event reports, analytic dashboards, and provide recommendations for improving the overall event experience.
  • Conduct video interviews with domestic students, identifying and drawing out their stories to create compelling content.
  • Acquire and capture appropriate domestic B-roll footage to enhance and complement specific digital stories.
  • Establish and regularly report on metrics that support the delivery of virtual events and any virtual assets under contract with Undergraduate Recruitment.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of digital video assets and projects by tracking engagement and gathering insights through focus groups.
  • Conduct market analysis on competitor digital media efforts within higher education marketing.

Qualifications


  • Diploma in Digital Marketing and Graphic Design, Film Production, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in producing digital rich media content.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in digital media production, including photography, videography, editing, sound mixing, voice-over work, and post-production.
  • Exceptional eye for visual composition and excellent ear for audio elements, with a strong attention to both technical and aesthetic detail.
  • Ability to apply brand standards and key messaging consistently across various digital mediums.
  • Experience with the safe use and maintenance of audio-visual equipment, including DSLR photography, videography, external lighting, shotgun/lav microphones, sound mixers, and drones.
  • Proficient in post-production editing and enhancement techniques.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro and Photoshop. Additional experience with graphic and visual design programs would be considered an asset.
