Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $21.81 - $27.26 per hour
Shifts: Afternoon/Evening Shift, Monday - Friday
Status: Temporary Full Time (18 months)

As a valued member of TeamJDMI, you will play a key role in supporting JDMI clinical operations as the appointment scheduler plays a pivotal role in supporting scheduling and coordination of appointments across different modalities. The scheduling support model includes reviewing imaging requests, placing orders, reviewing protocols and following safety guidelines to schedule appointments accurately and safely with patients.

Duties

  • Complete a series of complex clerical services received from multiple sources including imaging order entry, scheduling/rescheduling/cancelling imaging appointments, communication of preparation and coordinating appointment resources.
  • Process, document and support the scheduling of imaging studies and/or procedures electronically/manually; performs data entry responsibilities
  • Provide routine and some complicated imaging examination preparation and imaging appointment information to the patient, referring clinic or other health care teams
  • Exercise some judgment or decision-making in the provision of complex clerical services including scheduling of imaging appointments
  • Provide clerical support and cross functional responsibilities to JDMI Leadership and Imaging teams as required
  • Answering phone queue models and provide customer service support to imaging patients and referring programs

Qualifications

  • Completion or Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
  • 1 year experience in a heath care environment
  • 2 years related experience in a customer service environment
  • Experience working with computer/word processing and database software
  • Excellent telephone, interpersonal and customer service skills including excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to use good judgement in assessing difficult situations
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and independently
