Our internship program is looking for driven individuals interested in exploring a career that is rewarding personally, professionally, and financially. The Gallagher Internship Program is a robust 4-month program offered from May to August, working 3-4 days in the office with remote working the rest of the time. The focus will be to gain a well-rounded understanding of the marketing and communications function in an insurance brokerage in Canada. We will offer you a comprehensive “learning by doing” experience by including short-term projects and assignments as well as networking and team challenges.
How you'll make an impact
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing & Communications for Canada, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting content for brand or practice group specific marketing campaigns – includes web, social, external collateral as well as internal communications
- Supporting with content scheduling and planning process
- Market research
- Assisting with the coordination of various special events, includes venue coordination, communications planning, etc.
- Assisting with daily administrative duties
Interns will also have an opportunity to work side by side with Gallagher professionals to experience our “learn by doing” culture through attending various weekly training engagements to further develop critical qualities of a successful client service and sales professional (business etiquette, communications, social media best practices, etc.)
About you
- Rising 3rd or 4th year university or college student
- Availability to participate within program dates: May 12th, 2025 and ends: August 15th, 2025
- Strong passion and curiosity for a career in insurance sales and risk management
- Competitive spirit and desire to demonstrate high energy and enthusiasm on-the-job
- Comfortable working with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is preferred
- Experience working with WorkFront would be an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Active participant in a competitive and/or sales-based environment
- Desire to work, learn and grow within an entrepreneurial environment
- Bilingual (French / English) would be an asset
