Job Description

Site: Rumsey Centre (347 Rumsey Road, Toronto), Toronto Rehab
Department: Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation Program
Reports to: Senior Manager, Clinical Research Services
Work Model: On-Site
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $63,999 to $79,989 annually (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN Compensation Policy)
Shifts: Monday-Friday
Status: Temporary Full-time (1-year contract with possibility of extension)
Closing Date: March 7, 2025

Position Summary
The CorPath Study is a great opportunity for an energetic, personable, hyper-organized, and extremely competent and results-focused Clinical Research Analyst - someone who is looking for a challenge and willing to put the necessary sweat equity to get the job done. Applicants must have some familiarity with cardiovascular disease as well as medical terminology. The successful candidate needs to be comfortable working independently with accuracy in a fast-paced, high functioning, and dynamic environment. They must also be okay with participating in a wide range of intellectual work ranging from basic data entry to active screening and recruitment of study subjects as appropriate. The nature of the position changes according to funding agency requirements; the applicant must be adaptable to evolving operational realities.

Duties

  • Screen, enroll, and follow-up with participants through an informed consent process.
  • Obtain medical history, schedule tests as per study protocol, supervise completion of questionnaires or administer questionnaires, and schedule appointments.
  • Prepare and maintain patient research files, complete case report forms, and record adverse events.
  • Plan, implement and coordinate aspects of data entry.
  • Report to sponsor on interventional updates including advances made on reaching our recruitment targets.
  • Actively participates in all recruitment activities including in-services, development of marketing materials and the development of progress reports for stakeholder groups.
  • Performs cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a health or science related discipline [Bachelor's degree is required, Master's preferred].
  • Must have 1 to 2 years clinical and/or professional experience.
  • Strong aptitude for iOS apps, MS Office software, Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with patient contact, communication, and informed consent in a clinical setting.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Client-service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand.
  • Able to operate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Aptitude in the use of health monitoring devices including health applications.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and is receptive to feedback.
  • Experience using statistical analysis and data management software.
  • Good judgement, exercises initiative, tact and professional attitude in the workplace.
  • High personal motivation, self-management, and detail-oriented: ability to take responsibility, meet deadlines and progress with minimal supervision.
  • Exercises compliance with confidentiality requirements.
