The Role

We are seeking a skilled Manager, Data Lead with expertise in capital markets, data management practices, and metadata cataloguing to join our team. This role will play a pivotal part in documenting and enhancing complex data flows, driving data quality, and supporting innovation across various projects.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Work closely with business teams and data owners to identify, document, and enhance data elements, including golden source mapping.

  • Collaborate on complex data flows across corporate enterprise environments, ensuring data lineage, quality, and seamless integration of 10+ systems with multiple transformations.

  • Format lineage metadata into Excel/CSV formats for upload to metadata cataloguing tools such as Collibra Universal Catalog.

  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, upgrades, and support of data management tasks.

  • Perform data profiling using SQL/noSQL and other tools to support data quality analysis and business intelligence efforts.

  • Apply advanced Excel techniques to efficiently format data and address data quality issues.

  • Work comfortably with ambiguity and proactively drive clarity for project advancement.

  • Apply strong organizational skills to manage complex projects effectively and deliver results.

  • Provide guidance and training to teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and project goals.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 5+ years of solid understanding of capital markets and regulatory practices.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data management practices, including data registration, ownership identification, lineage, quality checks, and issue management.

  • 5+ years of proven experience documenting complex data flows within corporate enterprise environments.

  • 3+ years of experience working with metadata cataloguing tools (Collibra preferred).

  • 3+ years of experience formatting metadata for upload via Excel/CSV.

  • 2+ years of hands-on Python experience, with a focus on scripting for automation and maintenance.

  • Proven expertise with MS Office and advanced Excel techniques.

  • Strong organizational skills and comfort working with ambiguity.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to profile and analyze data sources, identify golden sources, and document comprehensive data attributes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with tools for data discovery and analysis, as well as business intelligence design efforts.
