Marketing & CRM Operations Intern
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement and Events and working closely with the Digital Marketing & Analytics Specialist at Vector Institute, the Marketing & CRM Operations Intern will support data management initiatives, assist with event and marketing coordination, and help maintain marketing operations systems while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic AI research environment.
The incumbent will be required to be a self-starter and develop sufficiency in independent problem-solving, taking initiative to research solutions and ask meaningful questions when technical guidance is needed.

APPLIED INTERNSHIPS AT VECTOR
The applied internship program at Vector provides relevant, hands-on learning and work experience in machine learning and AI. During the paid internship, interns will have the opportunity to attend research, recruitment, and commercialization talks at Vector and connect with key stakeholders in the AI ecosystem. Applied internships may be full-time (36.25 hours per week) or part-time (20 hours per week) over the Summer academic term (May 5 - August 29, 2025) with an opportunity to continue over the Fall 2025 academic term. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Compile marketing performance metrics/KPIs and create insights or reports for events, campaigns, and management;
Assist in tracking e-campaign data and reporting on outcomes;
Assist in tracking event registration and attendance data and reporting on outcomes;
Work across departments alongside the Technology, Marketing and Events teams to implement and optimize processes and workflows relating to data and reporting;
Assist with data entry, cleaning, and maintenance in Vector's CRM (customer relationship management) system, E-Campaign and Event Management Systems;
Help maintain and update client databases, including attendee/contact information and basic metrics for reporting KPIs;
Support basic data segmentation for marketing initiatives and event invitations;
Learn and help implement data management best practices;
Support the team with event or marketing data coordination tasks; and,
Other duties as assigned.

PROFILE OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are a self-identified Black or Indigenous student or postdoc (Indigenous ancestry or heritage - First Nations (status or non-status), Métis or Inuit) or a recent graduate.
You are in second year or higher, studying at a Canadian university or college, or a recent graduate within one semester of graduation, ideally pursuing Data Analytics, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Eager to learn and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
NICE TO HAVE
Interest in marketing operations and data analysis.
Basic familiarity with CRM systems preferably Salesforce.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data management.
Interest in marketing automation tools.
Previous internship or coursework in marketing.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation: $25/hour.
