In the Medical Imaging at St. Michael's Hospital, the Technologist Assistant (TA) will be working as part of an interdisciplinary team in the capacity of an unregulated health care provider. The TA practices under direct supervision and guidance of the Radiologist, Manager of Medical Imaging, and with direct oversight of the regulated health care professionals, either Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) or Registered Nurse (RN). The TA will ensure an efficient workflow in the area and will be accountable to provide support to both the patient and the Technologist, as needed. As part of a multi-disciplinary team receiving day to day direction from the Operations Leader in Angiography and CT, the Technical Assistant is responsible for contributing to patient care by providing support to patients and the Medical Imaging team. HOURS OF WORK: Must be able to work all shifts including days, evening, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
