The Position

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellow with interest and expertise in machine learning/data science. You will join a dynamic team to advance personalized health for children with neurodevelopmental differences and disabilities through novel application of data science and AI approaches. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team and support the development of innovative algorithms that improve the understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and contribute to development of technology-based supports for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data analyses for research studies focused on health datasets. Analyses may include cleaning/aggregating large datasets, visualizing data, statistical analysis, and AI/machine learning
  • Lead and support preparation of manuscripts
  • Contribute to preparing grant applications
  • Contribute to mentorship and supervision of graduate and undergraduate students

Qualifications

  • PhD degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field (completed within the last 5 years or expected to complete in the next 3 months)
  • Solid and demonstrated knowledge of statistics, data visualization, and AI/machine learning methods
  • Experience analysing health/clinical research data, such as physiological signals, clinical assessments, survey data, or neuroimaging data
  • Proficiency with Python and/or R, specifically related to statistics and machine learning
  • Experience communicating research results, including written and oral, demonstrated through a publication record and presentations
