Position Summary:

Responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials and traded goods in the Canadian market, including price and deadline negotiations. Coordinates logistics, delivery, and inventory tracking while supporting the A/P department to ensure timely document release. Collaborates closely with operations, scheduling, and logistics teams to align supply with production needs. Maintains supplier relationships, oversees plant audits, and ensures QA documentation and issue resolution. Provides on-site support by maintaining a presence on the production floor.

This is one year contract role from May 2025 to April 2026

Key Accountability

  1. Purchase of raw materials and items for trading and used in production in the Canadian market, prices and deadlines negotiation.
  2. Documents verification, gathering logistic information and updating tracking tools
  3. Work with A/P department to ensure bank releases documents on a timely basis.
  4. Delivery coordination with carriers and warehouses.
  5. Gather inventory and logistics inputs to update relevant reports
  6. Keep track of orders and provide input to the operations team about product, prices and locations.
  7. Work with scheduling regarding raw material requirements for the plant.
  8. Work with logistics department for any local pick ups
  9. Responsible for dealing with Suppliers, plant visits, audits and gathering all the information and documents that QA staff requires from every plant.
  10. Communicate any quality issues with materials ordered from different vendors. Deal with all Q.A. issues and claims.
  11. Maintain presence on the production floor.

Requirements:

  1. University degree in Business, Engineering or other related careers.
  2. Experience in the food manufacturing industry is an asset.
  3. 3-5 years' experience in supply chain, primary processing or fresh planning.
  4. Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Office and database management.
