Job Summary
Our inpatient rehabilitation program focuses on engaging our patients and their caregivers with assessments, interventions, resources and supports to optimize recovery, safety and facilitate return to the community. Patients admitted to the Stroke Service have access to skilled professionals dedicated to providing care that will enable persons with stroke to achieve their optimal physical, cognitive, emotional, communicative and social functional level.
Our inpatient rehab service is supported by a skilled interprofessional team including Medicine, Physiatry, Nursing, Personal Support Worker, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Speech-Language Pathology, Rehab Therapy, OTA/PTA, Pharmacy and Nutrition as well as a variety of student learners.
Since its inception in 2010, the Toronto Rehab Stroke Program continues to achieve the award of Stroke Distinction Accreditation, which is awarded to health care facilities for outstanding achievement in stroke-specific care.
