Work Model: On-Site
Hours: 21 hours per week
Salary: To Commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy.
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Status: Temporary Part-Time (1 Year)

Position Summary

The Division of Thoracic Surgery, University Health Network requires a Research Analysist (RA) I to work with the CTEPH research Program. The Research Analyst participates and assists study team in preparing environment for conducting research activities as per protocol. The person assuming this role will be responsible for data and specimen collection and data entry and other related study activities for non-Interventional studies. They may also be involved in the screening and consenting process for study participants.

We are seeking an energetic and patient-oriented Research Analyst who enjoys working in a fast paced clinical research environment. This role requires research and/or patient facing clinical experience.

Duties

The RA is part of a team of individuals performing similar work. Working under the direction of the Clinical Research Manager and/or senior staff, the RA collaborates with multidisciplinary health care teams to:

  • Assist in recruiting participants (e.g. identify potential participants, obtain informed consent, collect demographic and clinical data)
  • Assist in modification and maintenance of electronic and paper data management system perform data entry from health records or other sources, as per approved study protocol and authorized access
  • Obtain medical data on research subjects from registries
  • Participate in qualitative analyses of data collected from patients
  • Coordinate participant sample collection schedules
  • Maintain all regulatory files and execute study-related administrative tasks such as filing of study documents, bookings and requests, administrative binders, etc.
  • Following established procedures & guidelines and comply with applicable regulations

Qualifications

  • Undergrad degree in a health-related discipline, or equivalent
  • 6 months related experience, Clinical research experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Research regulations and guidelines (such as ICH/GCP)
  • Strong communication, organizational, time management and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office software
