Job Description

Salary: $37.00/hr (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Shifts: Days
Status: Temporary Casual

The Research Associate works collaboratively with education investigators at the The Institute for Education Researcher on a qualitative research study exploring the role of patients in physician-physician collaboration in the outpatient clinical setting. The Research Associate is responsible for recruiting study participants (anticipated 15-20), conducting and transcribing semi-structured interviews, contributing to data analysis, attending research meetings and other research tasks.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree preferred with minimum 3 years' experience or an undergraduate degree with 5+ years' experience.
  • Experience in institutional research in an educational environment and/or interest in teaching and learning preferred.
  • Experience with qualitative research methods
  • Experience with data management and demonstrated ability to prepare research, reports and/or publications.
  • Able to flexibly adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work independently in a self-directed manner and in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with research-relevant privacy legislation and research ethics an asset.
  • Superior written and oral communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Satisfactory Canadian Police Clearance document required upon hire.
