DUTIES:
Reporting to the Deputy City Planner - Growth, this position will be responsible to review and recommend terms and conditions of landscaping and urban design requirements for development applications (i.e. site plan control, committee of adjustment, rezoning applications, subdivisions, etc.); conducts site inspections to determine conformity with landscaping, lighting, and urban design requirements established through the approval process and legal agreements; will attend the Committee of Adjustment, Development Heritage and Standing Committee and Council, as required. Will also assist and develop documents, guidelines and standards for developments; assist in the preparation and implementation of landscaping and streetscaping guidelines, policies and procedures; assists in the preparation of landscape/streetscape/urban design concepts for municipal capital projects and for illustrative purposes in the review of development applications; provides expert evidence before the Ontario Land Tribunal and other tribunals. Will perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation's Health and Safety Program. Will perform other related duties as required.
