RATE OF PAY: $18.47 per hour
SHIFT WORK REQUIRED: Tuesday to Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM
WORK DURATION: Tuesday, June 10, 2025 to Saturday, August 30, 2025
WORK LOCATION: Francois Baby House, 254 Pitt St W., Windsor, Ontario, N9A 5L5
DUTIES:
As part of a goal to diversify the museum's photographic collection to cover a broader cultural range of the inhabitants and urban geography of the City of Windsor, the student museum technician will be tasked with photographing and then cataloguing into the museum's collection locations in Windsor reflecting a diverse population including 1) Places of Worship; 2) Community and Cultural Centres; 3) Multicultural Businesses and Restaurants; 4) Plaques and streetscape locations of historical importance. In order to broaden the museum experience available to the student, this position also involves an introduction to other facets of museum work, such as programming in a historic house.
