Intern in Engineering - Aircraft Performance 8-12 months

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Support in analyzing flight test data, if applicable
  • Support in generation of certified and/or operational aircraft performance data, for example:
  • Performance data Flight Manuals (AFM, QRH, FPCCM)
  • Performance data for the Flight Management System (FMS)
  • Performance data to support of sales campaigns
  • Support in development, validation and maintenance of aircraft performance software and tools (for example, CAFM, SCAP)
  • Support to Sales and Marketing

You will develop the following skills:

  • Knowledge on aircraft performance aspects
  • Programming
  • Teamwork
  • Autonomy
  • Presentation skills

How to thrive in this role?

  • You are a student in mechanical or aeronautical engineering.
  • Familiarization of concepts in aircraft performance, fluid dynamics is an asset.
  • Possesses good programming skills (Fortran, Visual Basic, C++, C#, Python and/or Matlab), as well as working knowledge of a UNIX operating system environment are assets.
  • Have a basic knowledge of aircraft take-off, landing, and mission performance.
  • Knowledge of MS windows (word, excel, powerpoint) would be an asset.
  • You possess good interpersonal skills in order to work well in a team and interface with other groups, suppliers and management, as well as good written and oral communication skills.
  • You can work independently and demonstrate initiative to achieve the goals established for you.
  • Bilingualism is an asset (French, English) with good verbal and writing skills in English.

  • Virtual or on site

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
