An overview of your future role at BBA

By joining our team as an intern, you'll participate in engineering and programming mandates in automation, instrumentation and control. Your role will be to contribute to various phases of engineering and site work. You may be called upon to contribute to the development of deliverables for mandates involving digital solutions.

An overview of your mandates and responsibilities

  • Participate in producing deliverables for an automation engineering project.
  • Prepare plans and specifications as well as detailed engineering deliverables (piping and instrumentation diagrams, layout drawings, I/O loop and motor control diagrams, lists of cables and instruments, installation details).
  • Program PLCs.
  • Draft reports, plans and specifications, construction and purchasing estimates and calls for tenders, where required.
  • Prepare technical data sheets and select instruments (flow, pressure, level) and control valves.
  • Provide technical assistance during construction work (electrical and instrumentation).
  • Program PLCs, DCSs and human-machine interfaces.
  • Participate in equipment commissioning and performance testing at client sites.

Job requirements at a glance

  • Bachelor's degree in automated production or electrical engineering in progress
  • Interest or relevant experience in automation or instrumentation, including participation in the detailed engineering of a project in the mining or energy sectors
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French)
  • Available for short-term work assignments at client locations or sites
