ABOUT US

Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing 737 200C, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for coordinating Air Inuit operations;
  • Control telephone, radio, and electronic communications with the management departments and flight dispatch for both carriers;
  • Forward flight documents to dispatch and other stations;
  • Prepare the weight and balance documents;
  • Be able to replace the ticket agents and assist them with their daily duties;
  • All other duties deemed necessary by the company in order to ensure the effectiveness of the operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Secondary 5 or equivalent;
  • Basic knowledge of Office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • Hold of a valid driving licence;
  • Ability to communicate in at least 2 of the following languages: Inuktitut, French, English;
  • Good communication skills in both speaking and writing;
  • Experience in aviation industry will be considered an asset;
  • Punctual and reliable;
  • Available to travel occasionally for training;
  • Available to work evenings, nights and weekends, rotational position;

REMUNERATION

The remuneration package and associated benefits will be in accordance with corporate policies.

$10,784 - Northern Allowance (if applicable)
