About the role

Our growing team is looking for a Product Owner (PO) to develop new value-added features in our mobile application, specifically aimed at helping our clients tackle climate change challenges. You will work with a dynamic, newly hired team consisting of designers, analysts, and developers while implementing agile and effective collaborative processes. This high-visibility initiative is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference for both clients and communities across the country!

Work Location: Montreal 2020 Robert Bourassa – Hybrid work (2 days/week in the office).

What you'll do here: As a Product Owner (PO) reporting to the Manager of Digital Products – Engagement, your main responsibilities will include:

Define and Prioritize the Product Backlog:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements and needs.
  • Understand business needs and define the scope of initiatives.
  • Prioritize solution features based on value and effort.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

Develop Clear and Detailed User Stories:

  • Write precise user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team.
  • Ensure the team’s understanding and alignment on objectives and features to be developed.

Oversee Feature Development:

  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives).
  • Provide continuous feedback and adjustments during development to ensure the quality and relevance of deliverables.

Communicate with Stakeholders:

  • Prepare impactful presentations and communications for various audiences.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to keep them informed about project progress.
  • Manage expectations and resolve priority conflicts among different stakeholders.

Analyze and Measure Product Performance:

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and various metrics to evaluate the impact of new features.
  • Use user feedback and analytical data to iterate and improve the product.

Ensure a Long-Term Product Vision:

  • Anticipate future market and customer needs to guide product development.
  • Lead the evaluation process for new opportunity potentials.
  • Inspire and motivate the development team by sharing a clear and compelling product vision.

Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with legal, marketing, support, and other teams to ensure coherent and successful implementation of new features.
  • Facilitate launch, training, and post-launch support activities.

Manage Product Documentation:

  • Maintain up-to-date product documentation, including specifications, user guides, and launch plans.
  • Ensure effective sharing of product knowledge within the team and with stakeholders.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management.
  • Experience in mobile application development.
  • Good knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Passion for quality and user experience.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
