About the role
As part of the Detection Engineering team, you will be a SIEM, UEBA Specialist .
What you'll do here
As a Subject Matter Expert in different aspects of detection engineering : SIEM, SOAR and UEBA, you will
Parse custom logs and filter the relevant information to create, modify a use case or a KQLquery.
Create and modify use case.
Connect supported sources in our SIEM and UEBA platforms.
Troubleshoot an incident on our platforms (including at an infrastructure).
Patch our SIEM and UEBA environnement.
Act as an advisor for the upper management in multiple aspects of security, cybersecurity and governance. Proposes the best solution and approach to protect the assets of the company.
Contribute to innovation about all security aspects. Innovates and shares with industry communities about the security aspects or related methodology to improve the security, in the field of detection engineering.
Contribute to the new detection engineering approach.
Contributes to improving IT security posture and enables a forum of communication with the upper management and other companies to share the experience and leverage the reality of others companies.
What you bring to the table:
Experience working with a SIEM such as Microsoft Sentinel.
Experience in SOAR automation.
Experience in UEBA.
Extensive understanding of Kafka.
Understanding of Linux terminal.
8 to 10 years in cybersecurity or DevOps or infrastructure team.
At least 3 years of experience in IT Security monitoring (SIEM, SOAR, XDR, TIP, UEBA).
Good understanding of the Agile development process and best practices.
Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Your experience and application knowledge in the insurance field, an asset.
Bilingual (French and English): Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
