Family Physician - Enhanced Surgical Skills- Locum
Job Description
St. Joseph’s Hospital, located in Southeast Saskatchewan, is seeking a locum Family Medicine physician with enhanced surgical skills. Scope of practice may include family medicine, inpatient and outpatient care, emergency consults and specialist on-call coverage.
Job Qualifications
- Certified or eligible to be certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed)
- Successful completion of an accredited enhanced surgical skills residency program
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Recommended - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Valid driver's license
- Successful Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
- Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
