Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA)-Saskatoon and University of Saskatchewan, Department of Psychiatry, seek an adult Psychiatrist to provide temporary support the Early Psychosis Intervention Program (EPIP) for up to one year (January 2025 to December 2025). This position involves working closely with the EPIP team members, including Community Mental Health nurses, recreational therapist, occupational therapist, social workers, and psychologist to provide collaborative and optimal patient care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness who are referred to the Early Psychosis Intervention Program. Responsibilities include attending weekly meetings, coordinating with team members, and providing direct patient care in collaboration with team members.

Position Details:Blended FFS and contract funding. Up to 69 contract sessions (1 session = 4 hours) are available (equivalent to 1.5 sessions per week for 46 weeks). The expected commitment is 2-3 days/week dedicated to EPIP (FFS and contract).

Compensation Details:$926 per session stipend plus fee for service.

Job Qualifications

Successful candidates will hold certification or be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry. In addition, the successful candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
