The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) - Saskatoon and University of Saskatchewan (USask), Department of Pediatrics within the College of Medicine seek a part-time (up to 0.63FTE), Medical Geneticist for a 15 month locum term commencing in June 2023. The successful candidate will provide specialist consultative services for both inpatients and outpatients and will participate in developing and guiding strategies for improving the health and health care of Saskatchewan adults and children.
The provincial Genetic program provides a range of genetic services for both adults and children. These services include genetic assessment, targeted analysis including cytogenetic, molecular and metabolic investigations. This position entails clinical service delivery for families seen with prenatal, general genetic concerns and cancer genetic counselling services.
Compensation: Competitive contract

Location of practice: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
Candidates in consideration will hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) certification or eligibility for certification and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).

A users group is available for collaborative research with clinical faculty using the $173.5 million Canadian Light Source synchrotron, owned by USask. The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training.
