The successful candidate(s) will join our team to provide comprehensive anesthesiology services to the patients of southwest Saskatchewan at the Cypress Regional Hospital. The scope of practice includes inpatient and outpatient care, emergency consults and specialist on-call coverage. We provide full obstetrical services, as well as general surgery, gynecology, urology and ophthalmology. Elective OR runs from 0745 to 1600 hours. Call is 1:3.

The successful candidate will be a fellow (or be eligible for fellowship) with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Anesthesia. Candidates should be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
Preference will be given to University of Saskatchewan graduates and individuals with strong ties to Saskatchewan. This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family-centered care. In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.

The Cypress Regional Hospital provides a variety of services including, but not limited to Emergency, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, on-site Radiology services and an intensive care unit. The Regional Hospital also provides satellite Renal Dialysis and a Community Oncology Outreach Program. Secondary services, such as Ophthalmology, Urology, and visiting specialists such as Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Orthopedics are also offered in Swift Current. The Cypress Regional Hospital has 91 acute care beds and is the flagship for acute care in the south west area and supports the community hospitals and their communities to deliver services together.
