What you'll do

Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific position assigned, but they may include:

  • Perform field safety audits
  • Conduct industrial hygiene assessments
  • Risk assess industrial hazards
  • Support union and salary safety concerns
  • Work with employees and contractors from a range of backgrounds to ensure company policies and procedures are followed
  • Present safety topics/trainings to a range of audiences

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon request (e.g. passport, Social Security, etc.)
  • Available to begin work on or around September 8th, 2025
  • As this position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, a valid U.S. driver's license is required
  • Previous experience is considered an asset
  • Strong attitude for carrying out all work in a safe, cautious manner while following safe work practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.

Education

  • Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate Program studying Health & Safety or related disciplines at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
  • Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
  • New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities

Working Conditions

  • May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.
  • Employees may have to work outside in a variety of environmental conditions
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and climbing vertical ladders

Safety Sensitive

  • This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements
  • Safety sensitive positions may require the operation of a motor vehicle. Applicants may be asked to provide a valid U.S. driver's license if offered the position

Relocation

  • Students moving for their work term may be eligible to receive a lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses
