We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Transportation team. This position is responsible for operating light maintenance equipment with attachments, conducting airside/groundside maintenance and performing general labour duties to acceptable standards. This position is occasionally required to travel throughout Yukon to support the Community Airports maintenance program.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet each of the following qualifications. Please note, selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Experience performing grounds maintenance and operating related equipment (i.e. tractors, 1 ton truck, lawnmowers, small loaders)
  • Experience using brushing equipment such as chainsaws and brush saws
  • Experience operating small motorized pieces of equipment and various hand tools
  • Experience undertaking minor repairs (i.e. fences, signs and other small structures)

Conditions of Employment

Valid Yukon Class 5 driver's licence, Transport Canada Transportation Security Clearance (within 3 months), Restricted Radio Operator's Licence and Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (within 1 month).

Job Requirements

Travel, working in adverse weather conditions, mandatory use of personal protective equipment, shift work and working outside of headquarters area for extended periods of time.
