This opportunity is for a one-year term position, temporary assignments may be considered. The position requires working 75 hours biweekly.
The Workers' Safety and Compensation Board (WSCB) administers workplace health and safety and workers' compensation in the territory. The Role:
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this position is responsible for conducting internal audits and reviews of Board programs, activities, services, clients, organizations and systems. The internal audit function accurately assesses and identifies opportunities for improvement, potential business risks, deficiencies, or inefficiencies in management and financial controls and accountabilities. This position is also responsible for providing options and recommendations to address/mitigate issues or concerns, conducting follow-up reviews and participating in pre-implementation reviews of proposed systems. In addition, the position will play a key role in the year-end audit and the preparation of year-end audited financial statements.
