Join Our Team at the Department of Highways and Public Works!

Are you ready to make a positive impact on Yukon communities? The Department of Highways and Public Works plays a critical role in maintaining and improving the infrastructure that makes life in Yukon possible. We are a team committed to safety, innovation, teamwork, and leadership, and we are looking for a talented individual to join our Corporate Services Division.

About the role:

As part of the Corporate Services Division, the Communications & PR Analyst is responsible for delivering internal and external communications for the entire department. This diverse and dynamic role allows you to engage in exciting and impactful work - whether it's building and maintaining highways, schools, airports, and bridges, reducing our carbon footprint, or expanding fibre networks. One day, you may coordinate a response to a rockslide; the next, brief media on a major construction project or organize a public open house. This role offers variety and the chance to make a real difference in Yukon communities.

What we do:

The Communications team within the Corporate Services Division supports the Department of Highways and Public Works by communicating government priorities and providing expertise in planning, communications, finance, procurement, supply services, and First Nations relations.

Our team works on critical infrastructure projects, manages Yukon's ferries, and promotes sustainability. There's never a dull moment and we pride ourselves on making a positive contribution to the development of the territory.
