The Yukon public service has a unique opportunity for recent graduates who have a post-secondary diploma or degree but lack real-world work experience. With GradCorps, you can kick-start your career while putting your passion, ideas and energy to work with the Yukon public service.

The Public Service Commission has a GradCorps opportunity for a Human Resource Service Representative. For the right candidate, this position offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources, including exposure to collective agreements, general HR processes, and HR management systems.

As part of this role, you'll work across various teams within the Public Service Commission's HR Service Centre and Health and Social Services' Human Resources team gaining insight into both corporate and departmental HR functions. This position will work for a one-year Term from approximately April 2025 to April 2026. The salary will be 80% of the starting salary - $57,058

Essential Qualifications
Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume. If this opportunity interests you, please submit your resume clearly indicating your:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related field is preferred; or completion of a diploma or degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or other field with human resources coursework
• Experience working in a client service environment, preferably in an office setting;
• Experience using a variety of computer database and online systems.

Additional Information

NOTE: To qualify for the GradCorps program, you must:

• be a resident of Yukon or a person of Yukon First Nations ancestry*
• have graduated with a diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution within the past two years (2023, 2024 or 2025 grads - all requirements for graduation must be complete before internship start date)
• have little or no work experience in your field of study

*If you are a resident of Yukon who completed your studies outside of the territory, you may apply up to two years after graduation.
