We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Transportation team. The Transportation Planning Branch applies a systematic approach to the planning and management of our assets. We streamline and improve systems to allow the Transportation Division to deliver programs more efficiently and effectively. The Transportation Asset Management Unit is a group of professionals tasked with understanding our transportation network's assets and identifying what resources and activities are required in order to support the network and ensure it keeps the territory moving. Reporting to the Manager of Transportation Asset Management, this position is responsible for overall direction, co-ordination and management of the portfolio of projects covered under the Asset Management (AM) strategic improvement initiative.

Essential Qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • A post-secondary education in information technology, engineering, math or physics, business management or related field;
  • Significant, recent project management experience leading systems and/or business improvement projects and teams, supported by formal project management training;
  • Experience producing comprehensive technical, analytical, and public-appropriate reports alongside communication plans, presentations, status reports, and other project related reporting;
  • Experience providing advice and recommendations to senior management;
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) and experience in highway, fleet and/or aviation asset management, planning and/or design and construction are an asset;
  • Experience with IT tools such as PowerBi, PowerApps, SQL and ArcGIS would be an asset.


Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment

This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:

  • class 5 driver's licence or equivalent
