Quality Improvement and Evaluation Analyst
This posting will be used to fill one (1) full-time term position, ending March 31, 2026 with the possibility of extension, working 75 hours bi-weekly. The eligibility list for this position may also be used to fill anticipatory positions over the next 12 months.
This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.

Who we are
The Population and Public Health, Evidence and Evaluation (PPHEE) team, part of the Innovation, Quality and Performance division, brings together a strong and coordinated team skilled in using data, local evidence and evaluation approaches to collaboratively support policy and decision-making with the goal of improving the health and wellbeing of all Yukoners, while ensuring effective and efficient services.
Your role
Reporting to the Director, Population and Public Health Evidence and Evaluation (PPHEE), this position is responsible for developing, coordinating and leading, performance measurement and evaluation initiatives throughout the Department of Health and Social Services. This work supports system transformation, and improvement focused on population and public health, social determinants of health, and a shift toward wellness.

The Quality Improvement and Evaluation Analyst will work closely with the Yukon Hospital Corporation and Tr'ondek Hwech'in First Nation to develop plans for the performance measurement and evaluation of the new CPAC Cancer Journey Navigation Program. The Quality Improvement and Evaluation Analyst will also work with the Yukon First Nations Cancer Care Program (YFNCCP) Oversight Committee to develop success indicators for the First Nations Cancer Strategy, ensuring that priorities set by the Oversight Committee are being met.

Essential qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume:

  • Education post secondary degree in health sciences, business, public administration, evaluation or Public Health.
  • Experience in performance measurement and quality improvement, including research, planning, analysis and reporting health indicators and/or performance measures.
  • Project management experience in a health or social services program delivery context.
  • Experience undertaking evaluation of complex programs with multiple data sources.
  • Experience presenting to and facilitating groups of stakeholders and leading committees/meetings and building strong partnerships with stakeholders would be an asset.

Job requirements
This job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:
• Extended periods of time at a desk reading, writing and communicating using a computer and phone.
• Some travel to communities is required.
